Therapeutic Journey
-
Here’s a little about how I got here—and how that shapes the care I offer:
-
I have lived in several places in the US and have a unique perspective on the differing ways region and culture influence identity, grief, and healing.
-
I’ve trained and worked in a variety of settings, from academic research labs to VA hospitals, community mental health clinics, and trauma-focused programs.
-
-
My clinical experience includes:
-
Supporting Veterans with PTSD, substance use, and moral injury
-
Helping clients explore and affirm their identities, including those in the LGBTQ+ community
-
Working with individuals experiencing grief after sudden or sudden losses
-
Supporting people navigating estrangement or boundary-setting in difficult relationships
-
-
My therapy style is:
-
Collaborative and flexible
-
Grounded in evidence-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Focused on your values, your pace, and your goals to create long-lasting skills that you take with you into life after therapy.
-
Nonjudgmental, with a focus on reflection, meaning-making, and self-compassion
-
-
I believe:
-
Building intention is a great way to begin the healing process.
-
Your pain deserves space, not "fixing" in the traditional sense.
-
Therapy should feel like a place where you can exhale and be fully yourself
-
If you’re navigating grief, identity exploration, stress, or feeling stuck, I would love to walk alongside you on your path toward healing.
